Connected Communities
Fancy a day in Edinburgh during Festival time?
Connecting Communities
Helping local people get out, get connected and go further.
Glenfarg Community Transport – Connecting Communities is proposing a special 203 connecting service to help people from the Kinross area travel into Edinburgh for the day.
🏠 Collection from your local area
Our Connected Community Bus (203) will collect booked passengers and take you to Kinross Park & Ride, aiming to arrive at approximately 09:55.
🚌 Onward to Edinburgh
From Kinross Park & Ride, passengers connect with the Ember bus to Edinburgh, giving you the day to enjoy the Festival, Fringe, shopping, sightseeing or simply a day out in the city.
🌆 Coming home
After your day in Edinburgh, return by Ember to Kinross Park & Ride, where the 203 service will collect passengers at approximately 17:30 and take you back towards home.
IMPORTANT – TWO BOOKINGS ARE REQUIRED
To make the journey, passengers must book:
1. The Connected Community Bus (203) – for your local collection and return journey to/from Kinross Park & Ride.
2. The Ember bus – for your journey between Kinross Park & Ride and Edinburgh.
Places on the Connecting Communities service must be booked in advance.
♿ ACCESSIBILITY DURING THE TRIAL
Please note that during this initial trial we are not currently able to provide a fully accessible vehicle on the Connected Community Bus (203).
Passengers need to be comfortable and able to board and leave our minibuses using the vehicle steps.
If you are unsure whether the service will be suitable for you, please contact Glenfarg Community Transport before booking and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
