Current Pilot Services – November 2026
Glenfarg Community Transport Group is continuing to develop its Connected Communities pilot, providing pre-booked transport opportunities for local residents.
Our current arrangements focus on two services:

Tuesday Loch Leven Explorer
Our Tuesday service provides opportunities to visit destinations around Loch Leven, including RSPB Loch Leven at Vane Farm, local cafés and access to the Loch Leven Heritage Trail.
Journeys are pre-booked, with pickup and return arrangements confirmed individually.
Booking deadline: Monday at 3:00pm.

Thursdays – Muckhart Community Connections
Our Thursday service provides pre-booked transport between Muckhart, the surrounding area and Kinross, including connections for onward travel to St Andrews.
St Andrews Connections
| Time | Connection |
|---|---|
| 09:30 | Arrive at Kinross Park & Ride for the Stagecoach 787 service towards St Andrews |
| 14:00 | Pick up at Kinross Park & Ride for the return journey towards Muckhart. Passengers connecting from the Stagecoach 787 should advise us when booking so we can coordinate their return pickup |
Demand-Responsive Transport (DDRT)
In addition to the St Andrews connections, the bus will provide pre-booked journeys between the Muckhart area and Kinross throughout the operating day, subject to availability.
These journeys can be used for shopping, appointments, visiting friends or other local activities.
All journeys must be booked in advance and confirmed.
Developing the Pilot
Connected Communities remains a developing pilot. The journeys currently available reflect our present operating arrangements and may be adjusted as we assess passenger demand, operational requirements and community feedback.
