Effective from Monday 5th May 2025
Our fares will change in price on the 23 and 55 bus services. Most single and return fares will increase (although some are reduced). Return fares are 20p more than singles. We are not changing the price of our 10-trip tickets which represent the best value for paying customers. There is no time limit on return or 10-trip tickets which can also be used by people travelling together.
Revenue from fares is vital for covering the daily expenses of running bus services, including inflationary pressures on fuel and maintenance costs which are increasing the cost of our operation. Fare revenue also enables continued investment in our team, new vehicles, technology, and customer service improvements and helps to cover additional costs, such as employer National Insurance contribution increases.
